CNN is one of the networks that continuously gave Donald Trump a platform to lie, misinform, and activate a misogynistic, racist, & sexist base. Wolf Blitzer is now calling foul as Trump turned on the media.
CNN now concerned about Trump's attack on the media
The derelict media is partly responsible for Donald Trump's creation. Now he is threatening them for their coverage, and they are calling foul.
Trump's Campaign Senior Communications Adviser Jason Miller appeared on CNN with Wolf Blitzer. Wolf told Miller that many journalists are concerned that Donald Trump is trying to undermine the First Amendment by raising all sorts of sordid questions about the news media.
"Do you feel comfortable the way he treats the news media right now?" Wolf asked. "Suggesting he wants to have easier availability for government, for presidents if you will, to go ahead and sue journalists and sue news organizations."
Miller said Wolf's characterization was a one-sided interpretation of what Trump was saying. He then went into the Trumpian talking points.
"The reason why people love Mr. Trump is because he is willing to fight back," Miller said. "He is willing to stand up against this rigged system. He is willing to make his voice heard. And he is not going to be a wildflower that is going to get pushed around."
He then attacked the media for being biased against Donald Trump accusing them of being soft on Hillary Clinton. Wolf Blitzer said that there is both Conservative and Liberal bias inferring they squash themselves out. But Wolf made an important point.
"The whole point though is you don't go after the first amendment and freedom of the press," Blitzer said. "That is sacred as you know, as I know, our viewers know; try to undermine that and say we are going to change the rules of the game because free press is so critical to our country."
Blitzer then admonished Trump for his constant attack on the press at his rallies.
If the press were half as hard as it was on Clinton, Americans would know that Donald Trump is but a self-serving charlatan and a lousy businessman. Worse, they would know that his business model is in fact, closer to fraud than anything else.
