President Obama must do more to support gay rights. Gays should however give him some time and latitude to strategize how best to successfully effect their issues given the realities of today’s timid politicians. Bringing up the gay issue now in a full fledge manner would be a distraction to provide cover for the delaying or demise of healthcare reform and other issues by the opponents of these policy initiatives.
