After listening to the President’s Oval Office speech, I knew the main stream media would have a field day. They want the president to use powers he does not have, be overly aggressive on a company that could declare bankruptcy and leave the Gulf Coast in dire straits, put a company in receivership and assume the skill necessary to drill a secondary well would be at the government’s behest.
Unfortunately that is the real world we have built for corporate America. We’ve sowed the seeds of our control not by government elected by the people for the people, but government bought by the corporation for the corporation. Mitigating this will be a slow process dependent on the educating of America to really take back our country not in the flavor of the Tea Party who thinks government is the enemy, but the realization that the corporate structure as implemented today is a danger to our society.
