It is time for President Obama to play hardball with the Republicans. Let the tax cuts expire. Call their bluff and go on a media blitz. Let America know it would be irresponsible to give the wealthy tax cuts as it explodes the deficits. Moreover unemployment insurance creates more economic activity than another marginal tax break for those who will likely not spend it in America but invest it overseas.
