I received a two megabyte video titled Reagan versus Obama from a friend. The video begins with the infamous long play record Reagan made in the early sixties where he categorically stated that what we know of today as Medicare in effect would be socialized medicine that would take our freedoms away. It then alternates between statements taken out of context by both the President Obama and other Democratic leaders and Ronald Reagan. Of course these are the same Republican championing the socialist Medicare program they hated in order to defeat the ability of all citizens to get affordable healthcare. Fifty years later the freedom Reagan and his cohorts misled Americans about as expected never materialized because it was baseless fear mongering.
The video is the same type of videos that one sees in third world countries that keep them that way. It is a psychological gem that the oligarchs & plutocrats (the ruling elite) use to control ones response to beneficial changes to the masses (the middle class). The formula is tried and true.
Many times we have asked ourselves why it is that irrespective of our quantifiable history that shows the middle class has less and less, many in the middle class support policies that transfers their wealth to a few. Irrespective of the fact that our policies have allowed America’s manufacturing base to dwindle in the name of free trade many in the middle class continue to dream that somehow we can thrive manufacturing nothing. Irrespective of the fact that our national security is at stake in that we cannot even build a plane or missile with American manufactured parts, many in the middle class would support tax cuts for those whose wealth is kept safe by our military.
One of the reasons America’s education level has been allowed to fall relative to the rest of the industrialized world is the same reason why most third world countries do not stress education. An uneducated electorate can be manipulated.
Those in the know must wake up. There are forces out there that will pilfer all that is left of America. These are not American patriots. These are American pirates. Their tax cuts are not invested in the American worker. They are invested in Chinese, Vietnamese, African, and Latin American low wage labor. Their goal is to make the American worker just another commodity.
While it is an interesting concept that many will make the argument that they earned it and as such deserve to keep, Americans believe in work for fair pay. The middle class is the engine that allows the possibility of a few getting wealthy. One cannot exist without the other in our economy lest we lower middle class standard of living to the lowest common denominator, China. Until we rebalance income from capital versus income from work the American worker will move closer to indentured servitude.
Take note. When there is nothing left here, the destination of our plutocrats and oligarchs is wherever the capital flows. Unfortunately most of our destination is here. We must us fight for America. We must educate ourselves to the truth instead of succumbing to the third world type propaganda.
