RONALD REAGAN: Where free unions and collective bargains are forbidden, freedom is lost.
The Tea Party has been quoting Ronald Reagan quite frequently. Inasmuch as I believe the genesis of our financial crisis was Reagan’s codification of supply-side economics into our body politics, I find it amazing how mild he was relative to the crop of Republicans we have today.
Make no mistake, if many in the Tea Party were aware of how radical their stances are relative to their idol, it would give them pause. They would realize that they are being manipulated not on an ideology that will help their condition, but on a false ideology to ensure a privileged few can continue to extract the country’s wealth as they make the middle class fight among themselves.
What will the Plutocrats do when the working middle class really wake up. What will they do when the Tea Party members become the Coffee Party USA members, become the moveon.orq members, become Rebuild The Dream members. We all want what is best for America. It is my goal and it should be the goal of all those who can envision through several levels of indirection the game being played on us to methodically cut the strings of the puppeteers.
