McDonald v Jus Mac – How Corporations Stifle Innovation And The Middle Class

I saw the following story on ABC13 and my blood began to boil. I have constantly contended that unless we got the right balance between The Individual, The Corporation, and The Government that a corporate centric country will stifle innovation and the freedom of the individual to form their own businesses and be self-sufficient.

In fact that is where we are. Many folks listening to the story below will just casually dismiss it. Unfortunately that is dangerous. I wrote about this in my book “As I See It: Class Warfare The Only Resort To Right Wing Doom”. Corporation are patenting, trademarking, and registering everything they can whether they use it or not. I remember when I had the idea of creating a OneClick type Internet shopping cart and was summarily advised not to do it as it was patented by Amazon. McDonald’s in the story below wants to inhibit a small business person from using a name that accurately describes what they do. Farmers are forced to purchase seeds to ensure corporations don’t sue them for seeds that came from cross pollinated fields.

The Tea Party is constantly defending corporations over governments and unions accusing the two latter of taking away their freedom. Interesting enough it is the poorly regulated unelected corporation that we should most fear.
