American Chamber Of Commerce Against Buy America–Stimulate Foreign Economies To Maximize The Profits Of A Few

The height of disregard for ones middle class, for ones own country is evident with the matter of fact manner and ease with which the President of the American Chamber Of Commerce Tom Donohue is able to come out flat against any Buy America clause in the President’s jobs program. Sadly as opposed to acknowledging that if waivers had to be given to companies because of a lack of US availability of a resource or product that it is a deficiency that as a country we must solve quickly, he is simply happy to waive and outsource.

While we continuously outsource our jobs and thus reduce our national skillset, we do not have a patriotic Chamber of Commerce who sees a reason to mitigate this. Their only concern is the maximization of wealth through marginal profit increases by outsourcing and diminished wages. I am happy that Richard Trumka called him out though not forceful enough.

Until America realizes that there is nothing American or Patriotic about the American Chamber of Commerce, we will continue to support those who harm us. For all practical purposes based on their own words, the American Chamber of Commerce is not a friend of the middle class. In fact it is a clear and present danger to the economic well-being of the middle class.
