Nia Wesley’s latest Kingwood Observer article. This is one that I hope all our young ones and old ones alike read.
While Christmas use to be a religious holiday, I think it is safe to say that it is no longer for all practical purpose a religious holiday for many. It is more a festive climactic end to the year where we just let go, shop, try to treat ourselves and others as good as possible, and prepare for the new year.
Nia, brings it down a few notches by encouraging us not to not enjoy, but to share our enjoyment with those that are not necessarily in a good place right now. It’s not only about money and gifts but about being humane.
