Make no mistake; this did not occur because of leadership either from the President, the Democrats, or the Republicans. This was a direct result of the outrage of the middle class. This is the type of outrage money cannot buy. This is the type of outrage that money cannot be used to mislead or conflate. Do you know why? The issue was framed in a manner that illustrated how a failure to pass this bill would materially affect the individual on a personal level, the family, the economy, and our nation as a whole.
While it is true that while we are fighting to get money out of politics, tax reform, and Wall Street reform, it is essential that in fighting for these issues we educate by showing how these policies materially affect each middle class and poor American at a visceral level, at a personal level. Ultimately money cannot purchase or reverse that knowledge and that in itself could force money out of politics.
That should be our goal. That is what we together can achieve. That is why you must be a part of the solution. This is just the beginning. Effective January 1st, 2012 let’s keep the pressure on ALL of our Congress People. We will be providing direction going forward.
CAN WE COUNT ON US ALL TO RIGHT THIS COUNTRY?
