It is no wonder that Americans are confused. Many Americans’ formative learning is mainstream media or Right Wing media based. They are already so overworked that they at least hope to turn on the TV news and get good information. Unfortunately absent NPR and the BBC they are generally fed propaganda, misinformation, and news lite.
For those of us that stay informed, it is our patriotic duty to confront the lies and misinformation and provide valid truthful information. If you hear misinformation being promoted in the grocery store, drug store, dance studio, gym, department store, coffee shop, or anywhere in between, civilly join the conversation and correct the misinformation and fallacies with passion. Whether your opinion is accepted there or not, you will have planted the seed of curiosity. This is half the battle. As one begins independent thinking they are less likely to be continually misled.
