When my daughter was in school here in Kingwood I pretty much hid my activism and blogged anonymously mostly for her sake. Back in college I was one of those radicals that marched on the South Mall on campus with boots “requesting” that The University of Texas divest from apartheid South Africa.
When the article came out in the Houston Chronicle about the Kingwood Area Democrats and our activism I was pleasantly surprised at the positive support. More touching than all however, was when a neighbor pasted the envelope pictured above with a copy of the article. This is what having good neighbors are all about. Actions speak so much more clearly than words. Thank you neighbor and you must know the feeling has always been mutual.
