The wonderful thing about racists is that they are generally very dumb or they are so racist that their inhibitions are attenuated at generally the wrong time. This seems to have happened to former Coatesville Area School Superintendent Richard Como and former Director of Athletics and Activities Jim Donato. They were caught exchanging shockingly racist text messages.
The text messages were apparently sent in June, and then discovered by the district’s IT department. The IT department forwarded the transcript to the school board. Be warned- they are shockingly racist and sexist. Here are a few excerpts:
All should have whatever first names they want… then last name is N*GGER! Leroy N*gger, Preacher N*gger, Night train n*gger, clarence n*gger, Latoya n*gger, Thelma n*gger and so on.”
Hahahahahahahahhahahahaha could have a whole homeromms of N*gger! Hahahahahahaha! Will N*gger report to office, pardon the interruption but will N*gger report to nurses office. N*gger to lunch now!
The above piece refers to messages that say that all African-Americans should have the N- word for a last name. The following refers to African-American men who sleep with white women. It complains that:
….no f*cking way that ape banged that white piece? WTF is going on with these white pieces taking n*gger cock! Me no understand!
The two school officials also used work cell phones to text racism and sexism regarding the Miss America Pageant. One man said, as an African-American contestant was voted off:
OMg! N*gger OUT! WTF SKINNY B*TCH. Give good head! Trumped!

The full transcript of their text exchanges is not only appalling, it shows an intrinsic hate for ‘the other’ that is likely hard for most Americans to understand. What is disconcerting is that these were leaders in the community that were responsible for the scholastic well-being of many of the children they so despised.
One cannot know what is in one’s heart unless their inhibitions let loose. Because technology is the non-alcoholic alcohol that drops one’s inhibition, many of these racists continue to be found out.

For those who are tired about folks talking about race, for those who turn a blind eye, it is important that you wear that hat of empathy. How many stories like this in your own community are undiscovered or unreported? It should bring fear to every Black, Hispanic, Asian, Arab, and ‘other’ that many children fall under the purview of guys like these two racists.
