John Fugelsang wants Democrats to project GOP ‘Socialist’ attack back at them
John Fugelsang was on his political game on Friday’s The Ed Show. It is almost like he had a couple of answers ready waiting for a question. If the issue of ensuring all Americans had access to healthcare was not so serious, it would be funny theatre. Unfortunately it is true that at this point in America’s history, Republicans are playing Russian roulette with the lives of millions of Americans.
Many Red State governors have failed to accept the Medicaid Expansion to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), and in doing so have caused the premature deaths of their fellow Americans. Who can forget the Charlene Dill story? The stories are real. The data is clear. Sadly, in most of the traditional news media coverage, that reality is seldom mentioned. Some Republicans like Belhaven North Carolina Mayor Adam O’Neil are starting to do the right thing and speaking out.
John Fugelsang has the impression that inasmuch as current Republican intransigence in adopting the Medicaid Expansion to Obamacare will hurt many, it may not be enough to swing the election to those who favor it, mostly Democrats. He implies that while the President is fighting hard to get the real message out, rank and file Democrats are too timid. John Fugelsang said the following.
I want to know why Democrats in the Senate aren’t coming out and calling the GOP socialists. Because let’s be frank about this. This is not single payer. This the Republican plan, conceived by a Republican Think Tank, implemented by a Republican Governor in Massachusetts, upheld by a Republican Supreme Court. And they are terrified not it is going to start saving Republican lives.
Many sit back believing that much of this information is out there already. If Americans have not voted appropriately based on the information out there, why will they now? There is something activists must learn from Republicans, the power of repetition and message consistency. While they have been consistently wrong on most Obamacare issues, they have been repeating their lies consistently with tepid rebuttals from Democrats. Bill Maher illustrated this in his New Rules this weekend where he defined Zombie Lies.
It is just a matter of time before Americans wake up. And when they do many politicians on both sides of the aisle will have some answering to do, some for intransigence and some for timidity.
