Thank you President Obama for not yet having a ISIL strategy in Syria

President Obama no strategy on ISIS ISIL

ISIS / ISIL is a problem that requires intelligent action devoid of shooting from the hip

President Obama got into hot water with the media this week. He was transparent and told the truth. “I don’t want to put the cart before the horse,” President Obama said. “We don’t have a strategy yet.

What is so bad about that statement? It is the truth. America has never had a real international strategy other than war and henceforth its excursions into foreign lands that have been constant failures. That lack of strategy has gotten thousands of Americans killed and have decimated the country’s treasure. It however has continued to make billions for a small select group of folks in the military industrial complex. Profiteers love war. It is a direct transfer of wealth from the masses (taxpayers) to a select few.

That lack of a strategy is ongoing in the Obama administration because of a culture. The entire political establishment is controlled by money infused from war  profiteers, the military industrial complex. The President  is not a king and must operate in that environment. Slow walking or even putting the brakes on war to allow warmongers to be proven wrong maybe the strategy within itself.

Based on what President Obama said at a Democratic fundraiser in New York, that just may be his thought process. According to The Telegraph the President said the following.

“the world has always been messy” and that Americans were only unduly worried now because of Twitter, YouTube and the nightly news.

“In part, we’re just noticing now because of social media and our capacity to see in intimate detail the hardships that people are going through,” he said.

“It feels like the world is falling apart,” he added. “So we’ve seen the barbarity of an organisation like Isil…We’ve seen divisions within the Muslim community between the Shia and Sunni.

“All of that makes things pretty frightening. And then, you turn your eyes to Europe and you see the President of Russia making a decision to look backwards instead of forward.”

Nevertheless, he added, American military superiority has “never been greater”, the economy was doing well, and the current global situation compared favourably to the deprivations of the Great Depression.

“The good news is that American leadership has never been more necessary,” he said. “And there’s really no competition out there for the ideas and the values that can create the sort of order that we need in this world.”

President Obama is absolutely correct. The media is reporting that ISIL is about 10,000 people strong. They are in an area between Iraq and Syria. They are vicious. But they are fighting with captured US equipment, stolen money to buy a few more (likely from the military industrial complex), and an ideology that does not sell broadly. How can they be such a threat to the West or anyone else with  such a small force, no air force or navy, and no real way to integrate into the world’s economy. Social media give them an undeserved prowess.

ISIL is dangerous in a limited sense. However, ISIL is not a clear and  present danger to America. If we use most of our resources at home to protect our homeland, it would be less expensive than reopening a war front. Moreover, we create less enemies by killing less innocent victims that are in the way while militaries decimate ISIL.

America citizens must use common sense. Disregard what makes no sense. Do not be swayed by the puppets of the warmongering Plutocrats. They have been consistently wrong.
