Jon Stewart calls out Texas Governor for insane response
Jon Stewart mocked Texas for its response to military exercises named Jade Helm that will be conducted in the state of Texas. While it is funny to mock this insanity it is serious.
Many Americans in general and Texans in particular are being misled in order to create fear. That fear is then used for profit as the charlatans promoting these insane stories sell their wares.

There has been wide speculation that the US Government has been lying about the true purpose of the massive Jade Helm military operation now being implemented throughout a wide swath of the USA. The suspicions are that the Government knows an economic collapse is coming and that they are preparing for a declaration of Martial Law with a focus on many of the States they have determined will resist military rule. The following narrative will show that the suspicions of great numbers of Americans are well founded.
It does not help that the governor of Texas instead of squashing the insanity would give it some sort of tacit relevance by his response.
Governor Abbott Directs Texas State Guard To Monitor Operation Jade Helm 15
Following discussions aimed at ensuring Texans are fully informed on Operation Jade Helm 15, Governor Greg Abbott today met with Major General Gerald “Jake” Betty, Commander of the Texas State Guard, and directed him to monitor the Operation.
Governor Abbott directed General Betty to provide regular updates to the Governor’s Office to ensure that Texans’ “safety, constitutional rights, private property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed” during the eight-week training period from July 2015 – September 2015.

According to the U.S. Military: Operation Jade Helm 15 is a planned military exercise that will be led by the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), and will include personnel from the U.S. Army Special Forces Command (Green Berets), U.S. Navy SEALS, U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command, USMC Marine Special Operations Command, USMC Marine Expeditionary Units, the 82nd Airborne Division and civilian interagency partners. This Operation will take place over an eight-week period beginning in July of 2015 in locations across the State of Texas and neighboring states New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado.
Some Texas Republicans are starting to pullback from the insanity. Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Clarendon has justifiably called the concerns ‘silly’.

His comments come a week after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the State Guard to monitor the exercise, a move widely criticized by Democrats and some Republicans.
“These are incredibly capable, patriotic Americans and the notion that they’re going to be some sort of private army for the president to take away all our guns is just silly,” said Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Clarendon.
Sadly one half of the Texas Senatorial delegation, Ted Cruz displayed his ever increasing ability to pander to the misinformed.
“My office has reached out to the Pentagon to inquire about this exercise,” Cruz, a Texas senator, told Bloomberg at the South Carolina Republican Party’s annual convention. “We are assured it is a military training exercise. I have no reason to doubt those assurances, but I understand the reason for concern and uncertainty, because when the federal government has not demonstrated itself to be trustworthy in this administration, the natural consequence is that many citizens don’t trust what it is saying.”
