A better narrative on the Panama Canal than most
Most historical narrative documentaries about the Panama Canal, both to the lead up to its construction to ultimately the Treaty that transferred the Panama Canal to the Panamanians have been relatively dishonest. This documentary tries to be as unbiased as possible. I think they did a good job. It illustrate as well that unlike most American Presidents, President Jimmy Carter had streak of morality where he did not believe US military might was a substitute for respecting others’ sovereignty.
