Sean Toon made 911 call at the McKinney Texas Pool Party
Poetic justice is wonderful. Whenever one points a finger, there are at least 3 more pointing back. The Guardian is reporting that the man who made the 911 call complaining about the black kids at the pool party in McKinney Texas is no other than Sean Toon. Who is Sean Toon? He is a convicted felon who spent time in jail for violent behavior and torturing animals.
According to BuzzFeed, Sean Toon has been making the rounds on Fox News and his local station. The problem is he did not tell the real story. He claimed that the media was misrepresenting the event.
What Toon has failed to mention, though, is that he was part of a group of adults that, according to teens at the pool party, initially made racist comments to the mostly black youths, sparking a violent fight.
“I’m 100% sure that he said, ‘You should go back to the Section 8 [public] housing where you’re from because you don’t belong in our neighborhood,’” Grace Stone, a 14-year-old white McKinney resident who defended her black friends, told BuzzFeed News. “That’s when I went off. I called him an asshole. He had no right to say that. You shouldn’t be that hateful. That’s when [one of Toon’s female acquaintances] came up to me and said, ‘You don’t talk to adults like that.’ She was saying I needed to do something with my life and find a nice path for myself.” …
Tatyana Rhodes, a Craig Ranch resident who organized the party, echoed Stone’s version of events. “This lady was saying racial slurs to some friends who came to the cookout,” Rhodes said in a YouTube interview with photographer Elroy Johnson. “She was saying things such as ‘black f**cker’ and, ‘That’s why you live in Section 8 homes.’”
The adult white women were alleged to subsequently engage in a fight with the teenage children. One of these adults was identified as Tracey Carver-Allbritton. Her employer has since placed her on administrative leave.
Convicted felon Sean Toon is the same guy that was pictured holding up the sign Thank you McKinney PD for keeping us safe.
Sean Toon should have remembered that he has a past. The worst behavior of any of the kids at the pool party pales compared to his past behavior. According to the Guardian,
Toon complained that the neighbourhood had a problem with “out of control kids”.
In November 1999, aged 18, Toon and three high school friends were arrested and expelled from school after vandalising the agricultural centre of a rival high school district and attacking animals housed there, many of which were owned and cared for by school children.
“Cows and pigs were cut and bruised, apparently beaten with wooden boards. And baby turkeys were slain, their limbs torn apart,” the Dallas Morning News reported at the time. Dale Gardner, a teacher in the school district’s agriscience and technology program, told the newspaper: “It was brutal. There’s no way to describe it. I’ve never seen anything like it.” …
according to court records, Toon pleaded guilty to felony criminal mischief and was sentenced in August 2000 to 285 days in jail and fined $300. His three friends were also punished for the incident.
In September 2000, Toon was charged in nearby Denton County with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to court records. After pleading guilty to an unspecified lesser charge, Toon was sentenced to 75 days in jail.
The hypocrisy is sad. Luckily now there are cameras all over and an internet that provides real time information. Demagogues and racist will have a much harder time with their craft.
