Ron Paul comes out in support of Iran Nuclear Deal (VIDEO)

Rand Paul

Ron Paul supports President Obama?

If there is one thing on can say about Ron Paul is that he is one of the most consistent politicians. He is generally an isolationist who wants America to refrain from its interventionists policies. He appeared on the The Alan Colmes Show to hawk his new book Swords Into Plowshares. The interview was rather striking. The following excerpts are probative.

Alan Comes: What’s your reaction to the deal?

Dr. Ron Paul: I’ve been very supportive of what the President is trying to do. So I would be in support of the agreement. Even though from my viewpoint there’s a lot of shortcomings because I like to think there was a time in our history where we dealt with this in a different manner. That one country with another country worked out its affairs, the Executive branch worked it out into a treaty and then the Senate approved it. This is very international and it requires a lot and it’s not going to be, it’s not a treaty, therefore the Congress rightfully should have something to say about it. But it was done in a manner that I wasn’t very enthusiastic about.

Alan Comes: Is Donald Trump good or bad for the Republican Party?

Dr. Ron Paul: Well, I don’t even care whether he’s good or bad for the Republican Party, I don’t have much interest in that per se, but I think he’s is a dangerous person. And a lot of people find him sort of funny, and love him, even Libertarian types.

Alan Comes: Why is he dangerous?

Dr. Ron Paul: They like him because he’s so disruptive to the party system, and I enjoy that too. But I think he’s a man that if conditions deteriorate, which they can, see I work on the assumption that the world is no more stable than Greece, and if those conditions come, people want to be told what to do. “And I know what the answer is, and I’ll do this, and I am the man to this.” And he comes across this very well, and people listen to him, and I believe he may be raising white horses someplace and he’s going to ride in. Because he is almost the opposite of a Libertarian, because it’s not like “I want to give you your freedom and your liberty to run your life as you choose. Your civil liberties are absolutely yours, you can’t hurt anybody, it’s your own money you can spend it any way you want.” But he sounds like the person, “I know the answers and I’m going to do this and I’ve done this, I’ve done this, this and this.”

Alan Comes: An authoritarian?

Dr. Ron Paul: He’s an authoritarian and that’s the way he claims he made all his money. So I see that as dangerous.

Republicans will continue the charade in attempt to hurt the President. If this deal were to go down it would be at the detriment of the country. Experts have clearly refuted Republican arguments. No defense however was as potent as the one provided by the President in his recent press conference.
