‘Pro-life’ Ben Carson wants wars against Iraq and a woman’s body (VIDEO)

Ben Carson has gone full right wing as he disregards his intellect

What has happened to the most revered neurosurgeon in the world? Ben Carson proves that the power of ideology over rational thinking is powerful. His utterances over the last few years are distressing and are a clear and present danger to every American.

Ben Carson was interviewed by Martha Raddatz on ThisWeek. Raddatz asked Carson as one of the two front runners without political experience what does he bring to Iowa voters that Donald Trump does not. Ben Carson said his life experiences included a lot of complex situations that people had been trying to solve for a long time that he was able to solve. He was likely alluding to his brilliant success as a neurosurgeon successfully performing operations very few if any could. The implication is he is capable of solving complex problems. There is no doubt that of all the candidates running, Carson has the most raw intellect. Sadly when ideology is allowed to supersede intellect it is all for naught.

Raddatz’s unsolicited flawed journalistic response is telling. The traditional mainstream media is severely flawed. “I think he would probably say he solved some complex problems as well but certainly not in surgery,” Raddatz interjected in unwarranted defense of Donald Trump. Why did she feel the innate need to elevate Trump over Carson? If anyone wonders why a billionaire who lacks intellect is able to get traction in America simply watch how the media appeases him. Earlier on Meet The Press Chuck Todd gave Donald Trump a platform to make his lies seem plausible.

Raddatz then referred to a tweet in which Donald Trump said that because President Obama has done such a poor job as President, America would not see another black president for generations. Carson dismissed the rather inept Trump statement appropriately. “That would tend to indicate that for them the color of one’s skin was more important than the content of one’s character,” Ben Carson said. “I just don’t believe that is true.” That question should not have even been asked. Every President pre-Obama where white men. There were good ones, mediocre ones, and very bad ones. Did anyone ever assume George W. Bush, Richard Nixon, Herbert Hoover, or Warren G. Harding would deny the presidency to white men for generations? As Carson said it should be about the content of one’s character and one’s competence. Given Obama’s successes, Trump’s statement should have never been elevated in the national media domain.

The interview subsequently went downhill as it allowed the innermost idiocy of Ben Carson’s ideology to emerge. Carson stuck to the myth that Planned Parenthood is attempting to control the black population. Carson said that he believes that life begins at conception. As such he implied that a woman had no rights over her body. A fertilized egg whether from rape or otherwise must be protected irrespective of the health of the woman.

On ISIS and Iraq Carson implied that he would send American troops back in. In other words, another war. Our roads are crumbling. Our citizens cannot afford college or healthcare but he wants another war for a conflict that others should be fighting. It is not an existential problem for the U.S.

The interview is telling. Ben Carson’s views are not that different from the cast of Republicans running. Americans will have a real choice in November 2016.
