Piyush Bobby Jindal statement justifiably shocked Martha Raddatz
Republican presidential candidate Louisiana Governor Piyush Bobby Jindal appeared on ThisWeek. He was his delusional self as he told Martha Raddatz that his campaign is going just fine and that he is appearing in front of standing only crowds.
It was telling when Martha Raddatz turned the discussion to immigration. “I know your parents were legal immigrants,” Raddatz said. “But growing up the child of Indian parents, you had to have experienced being an immigrant unlike some of the other candidates, most of the other candidates. Is there any part of you when you hear things being said, derogatory things being said about immigrants that troubles you as a child of immigrants?”
Bobby Jindal responded that his parents never took the country for granted and are grateful to live in this country. He then began going off the cultural deep end. “This election is largely about the idea that America is slipping away in front us,” Jindal said. “I think we need to insist that folks who’ve come here, come here legally, learn English, adopt our values, roll up our sleeves, and get to work.” Martha Raddatz appropriately got inflamed by the slight Jindal made.
“I am sorry,” Raddatz interjected. “What do you mean by adopt our values. What values don’t immigrants have that you believe Americans have?”
“Look, what I worry about is you look to Europe, the contrast is — you’ve got second, third generation immigrants that don’t consider themselves part of those societies, those cultures,” Jindal said. “We in our country shouldn’t be giving freedoms to people who want to undermine the freedom for other people. I think we need to move away from hyphenated Americans. We’re not African-Americans or Asian-Americans, Indian-Americans, rich or poor Americans: we’re all Americans. And the reason this is so important: immigration without integration is not immigration; it’s invasion.”
Bobby Jindal does not understand the basic tenet of being an American. One must be able to love one’s self before you can love everyone. It is obvious that he has a problem with the culture his parents brought to the American soup. This is how Bobby Jindal sees himself as portrayed in one of his portraits.

All Americans sans native Americans are immigrants who brought many different value sets to this country. That value set is the American set of values. Bobby Jindal’s self hate allows the Donald Trumps of the world to divide and conquer with their brand of false nationalism.
