Lawrence O’Donnell’s interesting take on the Hillary Clinton vs Bernie Sanders race (VIDEO)

Lawrence O'Donnell's intereting take on the Hillary Clinton - Bernie Sanders race

Hillary Clinton saved by Bernie Sanders?

Lawrence O’Donnell’s take on the current state of the Democratic Primary is actually very plausible. It may upset many Bernie Sanders supporters. It makes Hillary Clinton appear more lucky than methodical.

O’Donnell’s take is as follows. Hillary Clinton is still the by far the likely Democratic nominee based on national polls. While some consider Bernie Sanders a liability, he has actually turned out to be an asset.

When Hillary Clinton lost to Barrack Obama in 2008, many said she would be too old to run for 2016 at the age of 67. Bernie Sanders at 74 is older by almost two presidential terms.

While Bernie Sanders and most Democrats running have similar views on what America’s social construct should look like, only Bernie Sanders uses the honest term, Democratic Socialism. Because Americans have been brainwashed into thinking it is a bad term that means communism or an over intrusive government, Hillary Clinton can claim a difference without being ideologically different.

Bernie Sanders could have joined Lincoln Chafee in assailing Hillary Clinton’s email problem. Instead he did the right thing and called out the media for concentrating on issues that have nothing to do with moving the poor and the middle-class forward.

Also in Hillary Clinton’s favor is an inept Republican Party that has become anathema to reality inasmuch as they have a few smart candidates running. They have all voluntarily chosen to lower their I.Q. in order to satisfy a base they spent decades mis-educating. This was so very evident in an interview yesterday between ABC ThisWeek George Stephanopoulos and Ben Carson. It turns out Carson had written some sensible ideas on regulation, getting rid of medical insurance companies, and many rather progressive ideas until he decided to join the I.Q. reducing clown cart.

While Lawrence O’Donnell’s analysis may be fairly spot on right now, Americans may be in a mood to go against conventional wisdom when voting begins. For those who think Bernie Sanders is best for the country, it is their job to make the case. President Obama won against conventional wisdom when he beat the same inevitable Democratic nominee of 2008.
