Hillary Clinton slammed for falsely accusing Bernie Sanders of sexism

Hillary Clinton should be careful wih this type of authenticity lapse

Hillary Clinton is accusing Bernie Sanders of sexism in a very backhanded way. Whether it is the failure of her staff or not she should know better.

During the Democratic Debate, Bernie Sanders said the following after Hillary Clinton accused him of being weak on gun control. “As the senator from a rural state what I can tell Secretary Clinton,” Bernie Sanders said. “That all the shouting in the world, is not going to do all what all of us want. And that is keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have those guns and end this horrible violence that we are seeing.”

Hillary Clinton morphed that statement into an implied accusation of sexism by Bernie Sanders. She sent the following tweet.

Hillary on those who tell her to “stop shouting” on issues that matter. “I’m not shouting. It’s just when women talk, some people think we’re shouting.”

Some may accuse her staff of putting that on Twitter without her knowledge. After-all, Hillary Clinton was at the debate and must have known the context in which Bernie Sanders’ ‘shouting’ statement was used. She brought it up during her stump speech at least twice subsequently. So it is not some staffer’s misstep.

It is a fact that Sanders have used similar statements time and time again. He used a similar statement before any attacks on his gun control stance was made by Hillary Clinton.

Playing the sexism card is just as bad as playing the race card. Mika Brezinski said it best. “I know sexism,” Mika Brezinski said. “Hillary Clinton knows sexism. She should know better than to let her staff make her do that. It needs to be her. She needs to get out there and talk. Everyone stop writing lines for her. They are bad. Really bad. When we talk about sexism, we talk about women and equal pay and all these things that are important, let’s not denigrate it with stupidity. Let’s not. Because we embarrass ourselves. I am like cringing. … That was pathetic.”

Mike got it perfectly right this time. This type of petty insincere hogwash may bust the door wide open for Bernie Sanders, a door that everyone sans his supporters believe is closed.
