Carly Fiorina resorted to whining
Chris Cuomo unlike many in the traditional mainstream media did not allow Carly Fiorina to spin neither him or the CNN viewer. Fiorina resorted to whining. Chris Cuomo has been practicing journalism over the last few months unlike many.
Cuomo immediately hit Carly Fiorina with her own words when she said that Trump has to watch what he says given that it has implications.
“Do you feel any sense of regret about how you characterize what was going on at Planned Parenthood after the attack in Colorado?” Cuomo asked. “Because of what the man said which seems as though he was influenced by some of the rhetoric that was coming out of you and others that painted a very ugly picture, an unfair one about Planned Parenthood.”
She gave the expected response.
“Oh please, really Chris?” she replied. “Look nine video tapes have come out about Planned Parenthood. It is very clear what they have been doing.”
She then went on to acknowledge that what went on in Colorado was a terrible thing and likely domestic terrorism. But she accepted no responsibility for what her vile and dishonest rhetoric influenced. She then went on with her accusatory rant about the Left Wing attempting to shut down the ‘truth’ from Conservatives.
Cuomo should have reminded Fiorina that most of the air waves are filled with Right Wing dialogue and rhetoric. If one lines up Progressive stations and programs next to Right Wing stations and programs, their is no comparison. It is for that reason that many Americans are so misinformed. This is by design. They spew misinformation 24/7 virtually unchallenged.
Cuomo continued to challenge Fiorina. He did not allow her to get away with stating that the Planned Parenthood videos were unedited. He did not allow her to spin Planned Parenthood change in policy as validation of the tapes’ authenticity. The tapes were edited and populated with external clips.
In the end Carly Fiorina stuck to her guns. She said she stands by her statements. More importantly her statements were credibly and forcefully challenged and debunked.
