Fox News Megyn Kelly neutered Oregon standoff faux patriot Ammon Bundy with a question and a stare (VIDEO)

Fox News Megyn Kelly embarrasses Ammon Bundy about seditious occupation.

Ammon Bundy seemed much lees than the protector of the constitution

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, without raising her voice, makes the leader of the Oregon standoff Ammon Bundy seem like a bumbling faux patriot. In effect these armed thugs are attempting to blackmail the government into making federally owned land private.

“How is what you are doing,” Megyn Kelly asked Ammon Bundy. “not lawlessness.” Bundy replied that one has to go to the supreme law of he land to answer that question. I am not sure what that means and it seems that Megyn Kelly didn’t either. Kelly pointed out that the case of the ranchers they purported to be standing up for reached the Supreme Court and they lost.

“Isn’t that the way it is supposed to work in our country,” Megyn Kelly asked. “When it comes to the rule of law?” Bundy started to fumble. He attempted to interrogate Kelly about the government being the plaintiff and prosecutor as if it were something novel.  He continued with the standard Right Wing militia type diatribe on the constitution and state rights.

During the entire interview, Bundy seemed rather subdued. It turns out the Right’s idol Ted Cruz asked the insurgents to stand down. Most embarrassingly, the Right group the Oath Keepers came out against the insurgents as well.

Stewart Rhodes, president and founder of the Oath Keepers, posted a video statement on the ranchers’ situation in which he criticized the son of infamous Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy for taking up the cause of Dwight and Stewart Hammond. Rhodes branded those involved with Ammon Bundy’s protest as “potheads.”

“The Oath Keepers will not be involved in an armed stand off that’s being manufactured by potheads who want a fight because this is going to be a bad fight, not a righteous moral high ground fight,” Rhodes said in the video, which was posted Thursday.

A spokesman for the Oath Keepers, Jason Van Tatenhove, said in an email that the video the organization posted online had been edited and that Stewart could be heard saying “hot head” in the original version.

Now how will they get out of this pickle? How will they save face?
