Bill Maher guest Cornel West defines Donald Trump perfectly

Cornel West has a way with words

Dr. Cornel West appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher as a panelist along with Ralph Reed, and Nicolle Wallace. While discussing Donald Trump’s staunch defense of New York from Ted Cruz’s attack, Cornel West took the opportunity to define Donald Trump in a rather colorful and absolutely accurate manner.

“I would admit though, brother Trump, he did tell the truth in terms of there are beautiful people in New York City,” West said. “So anybody can stumble on the truth. You know what I mean? But I think it is very important to understand that you got the Amsterdam News, you got the daily news. You got the New York Times, you got the New York Post. You got the New York City of Trump, New York City of Eric Garner. The problem with Trump is that he is a multi-billionaire pseudo populist with autocratic sensibilities and some fascist proclivities. That is what is dangerous about him. … He is for real. He is just not for right.”

Cornel West’s description of Donald Trump got a lot of laughs. Americans however should not be laughing. Donald Trump has the necessary charisma, media savvy, and manipulative abilities given the competition to be the Republican nominee. The stars could then align to put him over the top. Both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have issues that could be exploited if either follows the standard Democratic modus operandi. America wants answers. The person that becomes the middle-class centric populist will win.

Trump’s popularity though not yet a majority will become one with a triangulating Democrat. If Trump is the Republican nominee, only a Democrat who calls out the oligarchy, the plutocracy that has its boot on the neck of the middle-class, will win the presidency. Donald Trump must be identified as the heart of that system attempting to complete the mission by holding the highest elective office in the country.
