The Trump Effect is real as it lowers people’s moral center
The Trump Effect is making America less civil. This woman’s behavior is a likely example of the declining of inhibitions he encourages. It is not known what occurred previous to the rolling of the tape. Irrespective of the unknown, her behavior illustrates a racial hate that is palpable. That she behaved in that fashion in the presence of a child is reprehensible. Our current politics is in fact making said behavior, the judgment of the other, vogue.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported the following.
A disturbing encounter between a female volunteer at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and a man and his two children has been posted on YouTube, prompting an apology from the hospital. The nearly 7-minute video set near the hospital’s family resources center was uploaded Thursday by Isaiah Baskins. It appears to have been shot with a phone or tablet. The video had been viewed more than 20,000 times late Friday. Baskins could not be reached for comment Friday to provide additional context of the encounter. In the video, he claimed he and his children were victims of racism, including being called the “n-word” before he began recording. Baskins said in the posting his daughter had an appointment at the hospital.
Wake Forest Baptist was responsive to this embarrassing occurrence. They placed the following response in the video’s comment section.
“We deeply regret and apologize for this behavior demonstrated by our volunteer in this video,” the post read. “We are dedicated to providing an inclusive environment for all, with respect, dignity and compassion. We are taking action, and this individual is no longer a volunteer with our organization.”
