Trump’s foreign policy speech incoherent (VIDEO)

Donald Trump foreign policy speech slammed

Donald Trump’s speech incoherent and fact-free

Donald Trump’s foreign policy speech was universally slammed as being incoherent and fact free by those who understand foreign policy.

Fareed Zakaria referred to the speech as ‘rambling to the point of being incoherent.’ Zakaria pointed out that the speech was filled with contradictions.

“He [Trump] said we were going to get out of nation building, but we are going to create stability,” Zakaria said. “Well, how do you do that? You get out of nation building in Afghanistan; you’ll get more instability. You got out of nation building in Iraq. You got more instability. He said the allies can rely on us. But we will be completely unpredictable. He said we will spend what it takes to rebuild the military. But we are going to pay down the debt. We are going to spread western civilization. But we are not going to spread democracy.”

Zakaria said it is bizarre that Trump believes that the greatest problem in the world is too many weapons. He pointed out all the attacks on President Obama and Secretary Clinton was really a continuation of Republican foreign policy, Bush foreign policy.

David Rothkopf, CEO & Editor of Foreign Policy Magazine was even more poignant.

“Well, I think if the objective was to establish a Trump serious on foreign policy,” Rothkopf said. “He failed at every level. The speech was incoherent. It was fact-free. His solution to almost everything was ‘Let me handle it. Russia, I will talk to them. China, I will talk to them, ISIS, I got a plan. I am not going to tell you what it is.’ But saying that your personality is going to solve every problem isn;t a foreign policy. It is really a kind of narcissistic personality disorder.”

Is there any doubt that if the man becomes president America is in trouble? When I party is complicit in the dumbing down of an electorate, charlatans emerge.
