DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz called out for her Clinton bias against Sanders

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was called out today. Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver did so in no uncertain terms. Wasserman Schultz is decidedly biased against Bernie Sanders. It has been this way from the beginning of the Democratic race.

Today MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski called out Debbie Wasserman Schultz. “She should step down,” Brzezinski said. Why? Under her leadership, she and the party disrespected Bernie Sanders.

Most recently she took sides after the Nevada Democratic Party induced ruckus at their caucus. She did so before listening to all sides. Recently a Sanders supporter got a chance to tell their side of the story.

In the clip in this post, Joe Scarborough seems to be urging Sanders and his supporters to run Sanders as an independent. That is not the answer. Scarborough of course, does not mean well for the Democratic Party and is trying to further create dissension.

A third party run is not the answer. The answer is for the Democratic Party to award respect to Sanders and his millions of supporters. It is true that Hillary is likely to win. It is also true that Sanders support is larger than his actual popular vote. He decided to play in the Democratic Party which he knew was rigged. He was unsuccessful in overcoming the disenfranchisement. He must live with that and honor his word not to blow the party up. He must, however, ensure that the movement continues to pressure whoever becomes president. This will ensure that in a future cycle a real president of the people will get elected.

As I have mentioned before, incrementalism is no longer the answer. However, there is a time when one must be pragmatic. One must know that one should at times take a less than optimal stance temporarily in order to win the war.
