Conservative Joe Scarborough implies Trump is a sociopath not a psychopath (VIDEO)

Joe Scarborough went there in a manner that could influence some conservatives.

Joe Scarborough questions Trump sanity? Sociopath?

Joe Scarborough placed Donald Trump’s mental health on the table on Morning Joe where they debated Trump as either a sociopath or a psychopath. Mika Brzezinski joined in as well.

Scarborough said his daughter asked him while driving in the car last week whether Donald Trump is a psychopath.

“I said I don’t know,” Scarborough said. “I don’t think he is a psychopath. Check out sociopath. We looked at the definition of sociopath and psychopath. Now, psychopath, there are a lot of similar traits except the psychopath chains people downstairs and eats them. A sociopath, though, — and I think David Plouffe has that one wrong — a sociopath does not inflict physical pain and torture.”

Dr. Howard Dean told Joe that his characterization was not correct. He said sociopath could harm folks as well. Joe replied that maybe they are less likely to hurt someone.

Mika chimed in saying that maybe narcissist is the word. Scarborough did not agree. But she thinks there is a problem with Trump.

“At this point ,” Mika said. “I have been asked so many times that I think it is worth asking someone in the mental health community if this is someone you would want to look, are these signs of something that perhaps could lead to a diagnosis. We’ve seen enough of him. It’s repetitive. It’s consistent.”

Joe said there is a way to bring mental health professionals to offer some help in identifying traits without specifically targeting Trump as the subject.

“I think we are there,” Mika said.

Ironically, yesterday David Plouffe, President Obama’s former campaign manager, asserted on Meet the Press that indeed Trump was a psychopath. Chuck Todd scolded Plouffe for making the statement. It is surprising that for all practical purposes, Scarborough is echoing Plouffe no matter how he spins it.
