Chuck Todd and The Atlantic National Correspondent James Fallows come down hard on Donald Trump for his unpatriotic adoration of Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
Chuck Todd and James Fallows did not pull any punches
Chuck Todd became unhinged as he and James Fallows admonished Donald Trump for speaking out against the Press and America’s Foreign Policy on Russian TV.
“Trump attacked U.S. foreign policy and slammed the American press, the free American press, raised doubts about the integrity of the American election system, and downplayed threats of Russian hacking in an interview on state-owned Russian television,” Todd said. “It was an interview conducted by Larry King. It appeared on state-run Russian TV. Trump was mostly mum about Russia’s alleged election year hacks.”
Todd continues while talking to his panel in complete faux disbelief.
“There are so many unprecedented things that happen when we talk about Donald Trump,” said Todd. “A U.S. presidential candidate appearing on the propaganda arm of another government that is trying to undermine us. Yes, presidents appeared on the BBC but that is not the same thing.”
The Atlantic James Fallows then chimed in.
“To have somebody appearing on Russian state TV,” Fallows said. “And to have them so easily played by Putin apparently, ‘I love it if Putin calls me brilliant. I am going to say good things about him too.’ This hasn’t happened before.
