The Trump campaign tries to spin the fallacy that a Hillary Clinton presidency would be marred by constant investigations. The reality is the number of legitimate unresolved cases and scandals make that statement a Trump projection. His scandals multiply.
Melania Trump was an ‘illegal?’ (Trump’s terminology) – Trump Scandals
We have more Donald Trump scandals that are getting little media coverage as they fixate on Hillary Clinton’s faux email scandals. At the same time, there is a new narrative that Trump and his ilk are using. They want you to vote for him to ensure we do not put the country through the agony of many investigations. Really?
Did we forget the unresolved Trump University suit? Did we forget the Trump child rape case? And there are
Now we have evidence that Melania Trump was likely an undocumented worker for a time. Given Trump disdain for ‘illegals,’ his term, should we worry about a revocation of Melania Trump’s citizens ship and possible deportation based on Trump’s immigration plan? Based on Trump’s immigration stance, this should be big news. So why are emails a scandal and this not worthy of media time?
And on yet another display of power to control the media, here is another scandal.
Trump-supporting American Media Inc., the company that owns the tabloid, paid $150,000 for a story of an alleged affair between the GOP nominee and a former Playboy “Playmate of the Year” but never published it. This news isn’t coming from an anti-Trump group, or a Democrat or progressive news site either. The report, published Friday, comes from the conservative Wall Street Journal.
According to the WSJ, 1998 Playmate of the Year Karen McDougal cut a deal with the tabloid to publish details about her tryst with Trump – who was married to his third wife Melania at the time. The illicit affair began in 2006 and lasted until 2007.
The National Enquirer, which endorsed Trump for president, denied buying the story for $150,000 but rather, “two years’ worth of her fitness columns and magazine covers as well as exclusive life rights to any relationship she has had with a then-married man,” WSJ reported. “AMI has not paid people to kill damaging stories about Mr. Trump,” American Media told The Wall Street Journal.
It is important that we maintain perspective. The media in its attempt for balance is biased. But as long as Americans are informed otherwise, the lazy, derelict, biased media can be disregarded.
