Rachel Maddow exposed Rex Tillerson, Donald Trump’s Secretary of State nominee. Anyone who believes this man could have the interest of the United States in mind after watching Maddow deconstruct his behavior towards Russia is misleading themselves.

Rachel Maddow dissected Donald Trump’s Secretary of State nominee’s unpatriotic actions in Russia unmasking another character filling in Trump’s new swamp.
Maddow started the segment on Rex Tillerson by explaining how Rosneft, the oil company doing business with Exxon. Tillerson is CEO of Exxon. It turns out Vladimir Putin seized Yukos oil. They claimed a criminal, arrested Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky owned it. Putin then pretend sold it to an unknown oil company.
“Days later, the Kremlin-owned oil company, Rosneft,” Rachel said. “Got it for 100 Rubles, which was approximately twenty-nine dollars at the time.”
Maddow points out that the head of Rosneft is Putin’s best friend and the guy doing business with Rex Tillerson. Exxon and Rosneft signed a half a trillion dollar offshore venture. After Russia had invaded Ukraine, the United States applied sanctions to Russia.
Oil company executives were invited to an economic forum in Russia this summer. The State Department asked the oil company officials not to attend stating that it would not be in the interest of the United States. Tillerson ignored the request and attended regardless.
What is most disturbing is how he addressed the forum. When asked about the sanctions, he made it into a joke. Watching the audience laugh was disconcerting as it was evident who they were laughing at, the United States.
Many Republicans leaders and their business masters love to wrap themselves in the flag. They love talking about country first. But these are the same guys unconcerned about exporting middle-class American jobs overseas for their ever increasing need for unwarranted marginal profit gains. America must see that these guys are far from patriots. They better fit the definition of parasites.
