This Conservative radio host did what few Republicans are willing to do. He questioned Donald Trump’s intelligence and capacity to hold complicated thought processes.
Donald Trump’s intelligence questioned
Charlie Sykes did not pull any punches as he alluded to Donald Trump’s defective thinking process and excoriated his unpresidential tweeting.
“It seems like the stock market in other parts of the world are going to have to learn to in effect devalue Trump tweets,” Lawrence O’Donnell said. “That they have no real meaning. I mean, for example, he attacks Boeing one day and the stock drops a bit during the day. Then he comes back and praises Boeing and attacks another competitor of Boeing and drives that stock down.”
Charlie Sykes’ response did not disappoint. He hit the nail on the head.
“You just don’t know, ” Conservative Republican radio host Charlie Sykes said. “I mean, when does this jump the shark? I mean also, this is going to encapsulate, and this is really going to symbolize the quality of this man’s thought. I mean, there was a time when we had presidents who read books. Now we have presidents who write in one hundred and forty character messages. You know we once had presidents who were eloquent, who could rally the nation. But, you know, here is a president who does feel comfortable on Twitter because I do think that that is the perfect venue for the quality of his thinking. And I think that that is going to be something that’s going to be a defining element in his presidency.”
It’s hard to understand why so many people in the know are cozying up to Donald Trump. It is evident they want to be near the power structure. Unfortunately, it seems that working for this administration would be tantamount to career destruction after the Trump administration is over.
