Mormon Tabernacle Choir member disregards CNN anchors's disrespect (VIDEO)

Jan Chamberlin, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir member who quit instead of singing for Donald Trump’s inauguration appeared on CNN Newsroom where the anchor seemed to be condescending.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir former member handles CNN Anchor well

CNN Anchor Carol Costello showed a level of condescension that was unbecoming. Jan Chamberlin came prepared and handled it well. She was steadfast on her reason for quitting the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Costello asked Chamberlin if she would change her mind.

“I stand behind that decision,” Chamberlin responded.

Costello then asked whether she regretted the harsh Facebook post which spoke said the choir is endorsing tyranny and fascism by singing for Trump.

“Not one bit,” Chamberlin replied. “What I am seeing is that this goes far beyond any past inaugural situation. I am seeing very similar parallels of fascism and others see this too. The thing that I see in fascism is that you have someone that finds a cause that gains people’s trust and sympathy. And then they trust that person. They find a target to attack. And use propaganda to make that look legitimate. They find their military and financial support. And they are off and going. I have seen the criticism of Mexicans and Muslims, the requirement of Muslims to have to sign on a registry. And that deeply concerns me.”

Costello in a very condescending manner said there was no decision made on a Muslim registry. While that is true, the reality is Trump has yet to walk it back in its entirety.

Costello, a woman, showed a level of disrespect by asking Chamberlin if she was hysterical using the standard “some people say” deflection. Chamberlin did not miss a beat nor did she get frazzled. She calmly answered.

“I don’t feel hysterical,” Chamberlin replied. “I feel quite calm. And as I observed from my personal opinion and have received thousands and thousands of posts and emails of support, the concerns that people have is that they love the choir and the feel they are giving an endorsement without meaning to, that they support very vile practices and positions that go against their conscience.”

Jan Chamberlin shows an unwavering resolve for her positions. It is not easy in these days as he was slighted throughout the Internet and by some Right Wing pundits. If news anchor gave Trump the scrutiny they are giving to good honorable people like Chamberlin, America would not be in the pickle it is in right now.
