Chuck Todd over the last few weeks has started being more journalistic in his coverage of Donald Trump. Oh, what could have been.
Chuck Todd exposes Trump’s Twitter childlike behavior
Kudos to Chuck Todd today for yet another small journalistic act in exposing in a visible manner, Trump’s trollish Twitter behavior. It is sad that we have a president who uses social media just like a high school adolescent. Todd scrolled the many people and organizations that came under attack from Donald Trump on Twitter as the following dialogue transpired.
Jeffrey Goldberg: I’m curious about how he’s going to use this tool going forward. Because he’s about to become president. And he is so easily trolled by people that when he becomes president, if North Korea, China, someone else, starts trolling him, how is he going to react? Because this is not an appropriate reaction.
Chuck Todd: Look, we’ve put together, this is just–, and I’m going to scroll the list here. This is just the entities and individuals he’s gone after since he won the presidency, Rich. And it is a long list. John Lewis is now at– you throw on there. It was Chuck Jones at one point. You had a steelworker guy, GM. I mean some, most of them have been Democrats, some Republicans, lots of members of the media, present company included. At what point is this a problem for him?
Rich Lowry: I think everyone needs to get used to this. This is the new abnormal.
Friday a new era will begin in America, the Trump era. One hopes that our institutions are strong enough to survive likely the most corrupt, narcissistic and incompetent president ever elected. While some may consider that description harsh, it is backed by fact-based this blogger has reported on throughout the election. America may be in dire straits if Trump is more than the titular leader of our country.
