GOP Analyst Ana Navarro continues to be outspoken about her party. She did not mince words as she urged Republicans to spine-up while slamming the Trump administration.
GOP Analyst slams administration
GOP Analyst Ana Navarro laid into the Trump administration and urged Republican politicians not to get run over by the current cabal in office.
Jake Tapper asked M.s Navarro if she was surprised that very few Republicans came out against Donald Trump’s executive orders on a virtual Muslim ban from several countries.
Ms. Navarro said she thinks people are exhausted given the flurry of executive orders that came out last week. She said it was difficult to keep up. Navarro said many stood up against the wall, tariffs against Mexico, not investigating Russia on hacking and the fallacy of 3 million illegal voters.
She points out that Republicans are scared to buck the President.
“I have friends telling me, ‘I disagree with this,'” Navarro said. “It is an unAmerican executive order. But I can’t survive politically if I am confronting the man every day. But this is one that as exhausted as they may be, Republicans need to appeal to their sense of consciousness, to their principles, to what is right or wrong, to American values, and they need to speak up.”
Navarro said the Republican Party she grew up in is a party of family unity.
“What we saw yesterday,” Navarro said. “is families being torn apart. What we saw yesterday was violations of the constitution. We don’t treat different people different ways. We don’t impose a religious test.”
Navarro said many see the executive orders as a Muslim ban.
“Muslims think it is a Muslim ban,” the GOP Analyst said. “Those who want a Muslim ban like little boy Flynn and David Duke, the former KKK leader, are celebrating it as a Muslim ban. And those of us who don’t want a Muslim ban see it as such.”
Navarro then lit into both Republicans and the administration.
“I think Republicans in Congress need to speak up so that they are not run over by this Trump administration,” Ana Navarro said. “And so that the Trump administration actually works with people who know what they are doing as opposed to people in the White House who have zero ideas. They are either heartless, incompetent, or both.”
Ms. Navarro is correct. As President Trump maneuvers his way unchecked from his own party, their implicit buy-in to his inhumane actions will make it theirs as well.
