The mainstream media is on a tear as they call out Trump and his surrogates like Kellyanne Conway for lying. They may be hoping to get some credibility back, but Joe Scarborough will need to do this to the nth degree to make a dent in the media credibility gap.
Joe Scarborough Slams Kellyanne Conway for Her Constant Lies
Joe Scarborough did not mince words as he laid into Conway for her litany of lies that to date remain unabated. The new spine of the media is marginally refreshing.
Scarborough played some snippets of Conway misleading, lying, and obfuscating to give the audience a view of her in actions. It is amazing the smoothness with which she comports herself even at the most blatant lies.
“How many times does she go out,” Mika Brzezinski asked. “and say things that are not true. How many times. I will not interview her. It’s giving people dishonesty.”
“Willy, it happens time and time again,” Joe Scarborough chimed in with passion. “She goes out and lies. And you find out about those lies, a couple of hours later. Or if she is not lying Willy, she is, actually what I’ve heard is she is out of the loop. She is in none of the meetings. And she just goes out there and starts talking without having the facts.”
While it is commendable that the media is calling out Kellyanne Conway for her lies, it needs to do better. They need to keep her off of the air because it is evident that she is in fact not a credible source of news. In the short time that she has had her title as an advisor to the President, she got in trouble for the promotion of Ivanka Trump’s product line, her famous alternative facts comment, and the nonexistent Bowling Green Massacre.
