My dear friend Jaime Rodriguez, M.S.M., Executive Director at the Tapia Center at Rice University and Tapia Center and Editor-in-Chief of Tapia Magazine held a moderated audience discussion on “The Rise of Alternative Facts” at Rice University. Get a cup a coffee and enjoy.
Alternative Facts’ rise explained
Jaime Rodriguez gave examples based on his work as a political consultant for decades in Washington DC of the GOP’s migration to Alternative Facts. Jaime, a long time DC resident, political consultant, and photographer started his dialogue presenting many of the photographs he took showing both famous and everyday events at the White House, Capitol, and throughout the district.
Jaime reminded us of the times when politicians of the same party could disagree, and those from the various parties could agree. During the Q&A, he gave a thorough and concise explanation of the gaslighting that usually occur with Black Lives Matter (snippet here) among other examples. He explained the All Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter bait and switch.
