Conservative Radio Host slams Paul Ryan’s ‘painful … capitulation’ to Trump (VIDEO)

Conservative Radio Host - 'painful to watch the absolute capitulation' of Paul Ryan to Trump

Conservative radio host Charlie Sykes is very disappointed in the congressman he once believed in, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI). He slammed Ryan and the GOP saying it is ‘painful to watch the absolute capitulation’ to Donald Trump. Bill Maher had an inconvenient truth about Ronald Reagan as well.

Conservative Radio Host Charlie Sykes speaks

Charlie Sykes, a Trump critic, is apoplectic about the complete capitulation of Paul Ryan and the Republicans to Donald Trump. He appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher. A Real Time viewer asked Charlie by email at what point will Republicans stand up to Donald Trump. He gave a frank answer.

“That was actually painful watching Paul Ryan standing and applauding while Donald Trump was laying out all of his spending plans,” Sykes said. “Watching the Vichy Republicans, showing that they had been completely taken over. It has been painful to watch the absolute capitulation of the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party to Donald Trump. At some point, they are going to have to say I am not going to continue taking the bullets for this guy. But I don’t know. This has been the rolling process of the last year. You know, you have the full out collaborationist like you Mr. Lord. The Vichy Republicans like Paul Ryan.”

After some back and forth with Trump apologist Jeffrey Lord and Joy-ann Reid, Sykes had more to say.

“Watching Republicans go, we have to be fiscally conservative,” Sykes added. We have to be ideologically pure. And then they go and embrace …”

Bill Maher chimed in with a reality few Republicans ever want to admit.

“What is going to happen with this budget fight,” Maher said. “It looks so much like Reagan, defense buildup, we don’t cut entitlements, and we have big tax cuts. Of course George Bush the first called that VooDoo economics. And of course, it did run up the debt. Reagan did run up the debt. It’s undeniable. Those are facts. It just looks like that is happening again.”

Yes, it is happening again. And the same systemic destruction to our middle-class that Reaganomics caused with continue at a higher pace. The sucking sound you hear isn’t the one Ross Perot heard. It is your dollars been sucked up by the American plutocracy.
