Revolt in the Republican Party over Obamacare Repeal and Replace (VIDEO)

The demise of the Obamacare Repeal and Replace bill won’t be from Democrats. It will be from Conservative Republicans. This press conference reveals that Donald Trump will have a hard time making a deal to kill the Affordable Care Act.

Obamacare Repeal and Replace revolt brewing

It won’t be easy for Donald Trump’s Obamacare repeal and replace as the GOP’s Right Wing Conservatives are in full revolt as they are ready to introduce their own bill.

Members of the Freedom Caucus and Right Wing Senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul came out swinging. They say they will not acquiesce to the current proposal emanating from Paul Ryan and the Establishment Republicans. The bill was described by the Los Angeles Times as follows.

The House GOP, in a written statement, cloaked this plan with a bodyguard of outright deceit. “What we’re proposing will deliver the control and choice individuals and families need to access healthcare that’s right for them,” the statement said. House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wisc.) said the measure would “drive down costs, encourage competition and give every American access to quality, affordable health insurance.” Curiously, the GOP statement says the plan embodies “President Trump’s proposed healthcare reforms,” although the president has never advanced a coherent set of proposals.

The truth is that the GOP measure would destroy the ability of millions of Americans to access any healthcare worth the name. The Congressional Budget Office reportedly warned the Republicans that their proposals would lead to lost coverage for millions and higher costs for millions more, but the GOP is pushing ahead anyway.

Firebrand Right Winger Jim Jordan (R-OH)  said that he would reintroduce the bill that every single Republican voted for to repeal Obamacare altogether. He said the current plan is nothing but Obamacare in a different form.

Rand Paul (R-KY) said he would introduce a companion bill to Jim Jordan’s in the Senate for a clean repeal of Obamacare. Not a repeal and replace, but a clean repeal.

Mike Lee (R-UT) said the plan coming out of the House is not the plan they had been hoping for at all. He said it is a step in the wrong direction and a missed opportunity.

There were many other speakers at the press conference. Some sounded like they were willing to negotiate. Others sounded adamant about complete repeal.

It is imperative that all groups working to save Obamacare engage now. Many of those from the Freedom Caucus that are opposing the current Obamacare Repeal and Replace bill are playing games. Why? Many of their constituents are on Obamacare and will suffer upon its demise.  Make no mistake. They are scared.

Everyone knows that ultimately Single Payer Health Care / Medicare for All similar to Canada is where we must be heading. There is a reason why the Canadians are the ones living the American dream and not Americans.
