Many Trump voters are starting to regret their vote, and they are speaking out publicly without mincing their words as they express their disappointment. These two men’s disgust is more important than many will initially notice for some very specific reasons.
Two enraged Trump voters
Trump voters Scott McCommons and Kraig Moss are of the exact demographic that he cannot afford to lose to remain viable or to keep the House. These two men appeared on a CNN panel with four other Trump supporting panelists. Those four panelists were still on the Trump train with different levels of satisfaction. Two of those could be referred to as cultists as they could always rationalize every Trump misstep.
Scott McCommons said he was a true blue Democrat but was captured by Donald Trump’s rallies and thought he would shake things up in Washington. He thought he would work with Congress to get things done including health care. McCommons believes that Trump’s tweeting is a big problem. And he believes his my way or the highway method is unacceptable.
Kraig Moss’ son died from an opiate overdose. He said that Trump promised him that he would institute programs to help the epidemic. He was disappointed that Trump did not come through. In fact, he was enraged that Donald Trump’s draconian health care replacement plan was anathema to everything Trump said on the campaign trail providing no assistance to help those who need it most. For Moss, Trump dropping health care and stating that he would just let it blow up on its own was not presidential nor did it show real concern about the common man.
It is easy for many Progressives to discount these two men. It is easy just to say I told you so. The reality is that solves none of our problems. We should embrace these guys irrespective of their “reasons” for voting for Trump. Why? Many folks like these guys are the particular demographic we need to reach to tip the scale not only nationally but in every state.
These guys are not an isolated cases. More and more Trump voters and cultists are starting to turn against Trump.
We are not looking for friends. We are looking for allies.
