Joy-ann Reid: 'Pence and Session not out of the waters either' on Russia (VIDEO)

Joy-ann Reid made two things clear. Donald Trump is showing a consciousness of guilt. And Pence’s complicity does not guarantee that an impeached Trump means president Pence.

Joy-ann Reid Mike Pence & Jeff Sessions are in the crosshairs as well

For those who are concerned that an impeached Trump would create President Pence, Joy-ann Reid’s implication that Pence is complicit should give hope. Earlier she slapped down the new GOP talking point on the last word that was attempting to discredit the Comey memo.

The Trump administration is entirely corrupt. The fact that they justify or defend lies from the top is probative. Reid’s political analysis shined again.

“There is a consciousness of guilt here,” Joy-ann Reid said talking about Trump asking Comey to back off of Flynn. “It’s not that he doesn’t understand. Not only does he asks Jeff Session, the head of the Department of Justice, to leave. He asks him twice. Even Jeff Sessions who is no paragon of virtue, even he understands there is something entirely improper about leaving the president of the United Sates alone with the FBI Director when it is the president’s campaign that’s being investigated by the FBI director. Even Jeff Sessions understood that. But Trump insists that he leaves the room. Twice. Two requests. And he also ushers Mike Pence out of the room.”

Reid then pivoted to the possible guilt of both the vice-president and the attorney general.

“And by the way,” Reid said. “I think Pence and Sessions are not out of the woods either. Russiagate is going to ensnare everyone who touches it. And Mike Pence has a very implausible story as well which is that he knew absolutely nothing about anything ever, including when Sally Yates comes in and informs the transition team of which he is the head, — he is the head of the transition team. The idea that he was completely and wholly ignorant makes him also unfit to succeed Donald Trump even if Republicans did have a mind to impeach him.”

Here is one interesting thing I just thought about today. If both the president and vice-president are unfit to serve, it goes to the Speaker of the House. Here is a crazy thought. But remember this has been a crazy year. Donald Trump is president.

There may be a reason for the Congress to expedite both the Trump and Pence removal. That would make Paul Ryan president. He would have a few months to push the GOP agenda quickly. Alternatively, if Democrats take the House and Senate by large margins caused by the destruction of the GOP, then Nancy Pelosi could be the president in 2019. Crazy? Yes. Possible? Yes. Plausible? Ahh…
