Ana Navarro does not mince words. And she was clear about what she wanted to say about the President latest tweet showing his beating down CNN.
Ana Navarro was not kind to the president or his enablers
Navarro, a Republican Strategist, and CNN Commentator castigated the president for inciting violence against the media with his latest anti-CNN tweet. Martha Raddatz asked her about her thoughts on Trump’s tweet.
“I’m a CNN commentator,” Navarro said. “I think that is unacceptable. I think that is the president of the United States taking things way too far. It is an incitement to violence. He is going to get somebody killed in the media, maybe that will stop him. I am disappointed beyond belief by the answer that the homeland security adviser just gave. What a wuss. What a wuss. You could see that he is ceding his principles. You are the homeland security adviser, and you can’t stand here and say the difference between right and wrong? That’s what’s part of the problem. He is surrounded by enablers that do nothing, but shake their heads and nod their heads in agreement with everything that he says. They have got to stop. They have got to stand for democracy, for freedom of the press. This is just going way too far. The President of the United States is inciting violence against the free press. And America, we cannot stand for it.”
Navarro is right. What the president did does incite violence. He makes it acceptable with his crudeness and tweets like this.

It does not help that his inner circle continues to condone his behavior implicitly and explicitly. Not even his White House Homeland Security & Counterterrorism Advisor Thomas Bossert would cop to the inappropriateness of the tweet in his interview earlier with Martha Raddatz. When asked for his thoughts on the tweet he answered as follows.
I guess my first reaction to that tweet would be the same as any of the president’s tweets. There’s a lot of cable news shows that reach directly into hundreds of thousands of viewers, and they’re really not always very fair to the president. So I’m proud of the president for developing a Twitter and a social media platform where he can talk directly to the American people.
When some gets hurt or killed from the president’s words and inferences, one hopes the media will cover and blame appropriately. Our juvenile president needs to be held in check.
