Martin Hope General Kelly can counsel the biggest child in the White House, Trump (VIDEO)

Roland Martin was brash in his comment on what America must expect from General Kelly as the new Chief of Staff. His language was colorful but accurate and necessary.

General Kelly must counsel the biggest child in the White House

General Kelly has begun ridding the White House of ‘the children’ and hopefully, he can discipline the biggest one in the White House. He accepted the Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci’s “resignation” as one of his first personnel actions. The White House has not yet said if it was a firing or a forced resignation, but many can infer.

Roland Martin’s assessment is spot on as he usually is.

“First of all, I would hope that with the arrival of General Kelly you now have adults who are now running the country as opposed to the children that we have witnessed over the last six months,” Roland Martin said. “And I would hope that General Kelly is somehow can counsel the biggest child in the White House this president Donald Trump. Why am I saying that? You look at the comment that he has made. You look at look at his vulgar language and how he’s basically not at the presidential. You need someone who can say, look, respect this office. You ought to act like the president. Scaramucci was ridiculous. The communications directors are not supposed to be the story. And he thought he was basically a mini-me Donald Trump. And he needed to go. Because it was embarrassing what took place last week and you would hope, again, for the country — it does not matter if you are Republican or Democrat liberal or conservative — we ought to respect the presidency. I would hope the president will learn from a general Kelly as to how he should behave as president the United States.”

Donald Trump has had many resets. No one should expect a new disciplined Donald Trump to defer to General Kelly permanently. Like all other Trump servants, he is likely to face the same level of humiliation going forward. No one enters the White House and leaves without that stench of defeat from the president.
