Scaramucci resigns as communication director. Was it a suicide mission (VIDEO)

Anthony Scaramucci has “resigned” as Donald Trump’s White House Communications Director. He served less than two weeks on the job.

Was Scaramucci a suicide mission?

CNN reports the following.

(CNN) Anthony Scaramucci is out as White House communications director, two sources tell CNN.

It’s the latest high-profile departure from the Trump White House. Chief of Staff Reince Priebus resigned at the end of last week, replaced by John Kelly, whose first day is Monday.

A White House official said Kelly wanted Scaramucci removed from his new role as the communications director because he did not think he was disciplined and had burned his credibility. Scaramucci, a colorful and controversial figure, was brought on during the latest in a long list of White House shake ups that have rocked the presidency with a sense of chaos.

The Huffington Post reports the following.

Anthony Scaramucci has resigned from his role as White House communications director, according to ABC and The New York Times. Scaramucci was named communications director on July 21, a mere 10 days ago. The resignation comes after a controversy-laden week for Scaramucci that included a profanity-lace tirade against other members of President Donald Trump’s White House staff.

His rant, published in The New Yorker, was mostly aimed at then-White House chief of staff Reince Priebus. (Priebus resigned from his post last week and was replaced by Gen. John Kelly Monday morning.) But that wasn’t the only eyebrow-raising moment during his 10 days in the White House. Scaramucci brought on criticism after directing comments about hair and makeup at White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. He also reportedly received divorce papers from his wife, who gave birth to the couple’s son while Scaramucci was with Trump last week.

Even his hire was laden with controversy. Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer reportedly submitted his resignation after learning Trump was giving Scaramucci a prominent role on the White House communications team.
