Running has its Pros and Cons
Running isn’t very dangerous if you take these precautions to protect yourself.
- Beware of your age: Heart diseases could erupt after the age of 30 requiring medical attention.
- Done run too much: Covering thirty or more miles per week may increase plaque buildup in the arteries.
- Injured knees and ankles: Running on asphalt or concrete has an impact on the joints that can put you out of commission for a while.
- Outdoor is really better: Letting the wind hit you in the face can be refreshing and in some instances offer resistance. But remember not to run at very high temperatures as it can contribute to heat stroke.
- Don’t let it stress you out: If you are very competitive, remember that even competing against your previous times can contribute to your stress level. And stress chemicals in the body are damaging and defeats the purpose of the exercise.
