This racist caller to the “Politics Done Right” show who was attempting to be levelheaded before he unleashed his venom likely thought he was going to fluster me into incoherency. Unfortunately for him, he called the wrong host. Suffice it to say he did not get too far.
Racist caller get bested by facts & reality
My Politics Done Right show today was about suggesting that the Democratic Party latch on to the Teacher Movement that is gathering steam by promising real support in both wages and benefits if elected. We also discussed the gun control issue, featuring the scorching letter that a Santa Fe student sent to Texas Governor Greg Abbott over his inaction on all the mass killings in Texas.
Near the end of a show, a listener called. He wanted to talk about race. He was deceptive at first not indicating that he, in fact, is a racist. He pointed out that social media platforms are censoring racial subjects. He is correct about that. But his deception ended there. He shortly got to the meat of his call. He wanted a platform to articulate his beliefs that blacks are inferior.
The caller attempted to use a study that he said indicated that diversity is not a strength. While I have not researched the study he is talking about, because something is currently not working does not mean it is bad or cannot or should not be fixed. In fact, given that pigmentation is one of least attributes that humans differ in, no study could accurately determine what is socially best in absolute terms.
After countering his backward thought process, it seemed the caller could take it no more and he summarily left the call. One must never stoop to the level of racists. But at the same time, one must always be prepared to push back factually and civilly. That is how others will see the how ridiculous racism is.
