Neil Sroka from DFA at Netroots Nation 2018 says he expects good thing in 2018 (VIDEO)

If you are a Progressive, then your email box is likely filled with mailers from this man with Progressive candidate endorsements and calls to action. Neil Sroka, Democracy for America (DFA) Director of communications is very optimistic about the 2018 election. See what he told Politics Done Right at Netroots Nation 2018.

DFA’s Neil Sroka optimistic about 2018 election

The 2018 election is around the corner and DFA’s Neil Sroka expect the Progressive candidates they’ve endorsed to do very well.

“We’ve got some amazing candidates running for office,” Neil Sroka said. “We are going to be supporting over 250 candidates throughout the country this year. And those are folks running from the tippy top of the ballot for U.S. Senate all the way down to county commissioner and water board member. There is so much to be excited about.”

Sroka pointed out that Democrats are likely to do very well in the gubernatorial races given the great Democratic candidates that are running. He specifically called out Stacey Abrams who turned the Democratic playbook on its head. She is running for Governor of Georgia. Instead of appeasing the establishment with moderation, she decided on expanding the base by attracting and ensuring that the real Progressive majority votes.

Progressives are displaying a new energy not seen in a long time. It is important that our activist start coalescing on talking points and ramping their activities to a crescendo that culminated with a victory in 2018. It is not only possible but likely if we continue to tell Americans what Progressives will do when sent into an office to serve. Progressives must be ready to articulate these five specific issues they will fight for that the majority of Americans support right now.
