Trump Effect: White man assaults black McDonald employee

Trump Effect - White man assaults black McDonald employee

The pervasiveness of the Trump Effect continues so that, to many, it is becoming a norm. The shock value has diminished. And that is not a good thing. In fact, in as much as I have a running series called the Trump Effect, I’ve recently missed adding many of these incidents which seem to occur multiple times a day. This one was abrasive for two reasons, and they are all revealed in the video as this white man assaults a black McDonald’s employee.

Heavy.com reported the following.

According to the Atlanta Black Star, a Facebook post and a YouTube video, the incident occurred recently and, as can be seen in the video, the female employee is pulled away by another employee, but the man remains at the counter and then, he appears to snap his fingers at an employee who appears to be a manager.
Some have questioned if police were called and if the man was arrested for the assault. Though as many also point out, this young woman was not about to be attacked without fighting back.

“I want her ass fired right now,” the assailant says to the manager. She shouts, “No, you’re fixing to go to jail!” He says, “I was just asking you a fuc*ing question, bitch,” he screams as she asks why the police are not being called.

They’ve subsequently reported that the police arrested Daniel Taylor, a 40-year-old transient from Clearwater, Florida. He was reportedly charged with two counts of battery, a first-degree misdemeanor with penalties of up to one year in jail or twelve months probation and a $1000 fine.

Many will attempt to discount this event because authorities defined this man as a transient. The thing is, in our current environment, the Trump Effect has given many, including the lowest in society, a license to go against the other, people of color, non-Christians, gays, etc. Instead of looking at our societal problems as a function of an economic system that supports a derelict government unable to serve its core constituency, the plutocracy has morphed into a system of smoke and mirrors that causes the easily manipulated to assign blame where it does not belong, attack those it deems the enemy or the cause of their ills, or vote against their own ts.
